This class is designed to have your employees speak their English in the American cultural style. By the end of the class, employees will be speaking English that is more controlled, smoother and easy to understand at the conversational level. Accent behaviors of sounding monotone, choppy, fast or unclear will be eliminated and replaced with the American cultural style that is clear and easy to understand.
This class continues from the 6-hour program and teaches the most common missing sounds from English that will further enhance clarity. Typical sounds that can be covered are: /th, ing, f, v, w, r/. These are the frequently used sounds in English that when learned at the conversational level will further increase cultural correctness and listener understanding.
This is the comprehensive accent reduction program that will address the American style of conversational English as well as teach the typical accented sounds including the vowels and expanded work on /R and L/.
We provide a functional, real-world experience right away. Instruction will come from the book to introduce a lesson. After initial success, we will work on conversational topics and scripts from your company. Even online, we have the ability to break the participants into smaller groups for practice and individualized instruction and feedback.
Students will always be evaluated on progress with our assessment models and students will also have self-assessments so they can rate themselves and further increase their awareness of the type of practice required to achieve their goals.
We offer a variety of class models of meeting 1-3 times a week for one-hour, 90 minutes or 2-hour sessions. We will design a class to meet your timelines and scheduling demands. It is beneficial to have time for practice between classes.

Our approach is to first eliminate the behaviors that create accented speech such as speaking in a fast, monotone, choppy style and speaking with too much muscular force. This is how people from the Philippines tend to speak American English.
We do this by teaching American intonation. Every cultural group has their own style of talking. When someone learns a second language like English, they tend to speak it in the style of their first language, thus creating accent. We then teach how to speak English with American intonation. This is the American cultural speaking style that will automatically slow down fast speech and make it smoother and easier to understand immediately, particularly for phone work.
When employees lean how to eliminate the behaviors that causes accent and then replaces it with American intonation, speech clarity will be significantly improved. Your employees will then be speaking with clearer English, experiencing higher levels of confidence and communication with customers will be much improved.
We then teach the most common sounds missing from your employee’s speech. Even with small groups we have the ability to customize it so everyone can receive instruction on their target sounds.
