Attending by webinar is the next best thing when you can’t attend locally. Join us through your computer. It’s easy. You will see the instructor and the PowerPoint will be embedded in your screen. You can ask questions though the chat box and participate. You will have full interaction with the group and be able to participate in all exercises and discussions.
We use Zoom, which is free for you. Before your webinar you will receive an email from Zoom, which is the link to your seminar. For the accent reduction seminar we will mail you your book one week in advance. Other materials such as handouts and your ASHA participant form will be emailed one week in advance.
PLEASE have your microphone muted and video off. If it is on we will hear you-all of you right down to throat clearing, the dog barking and your kids. The same is also true with video. If you are watching the webinar in bed, everyone will know. There will be times when we want you to participate and at that time you will be instructed to turn on your microphone and video. Plus, keeping video on hurts bandwidth and the connection.
If you have never done a webinar before, call us and we will make sure you are comfortable with the process. It really is surprisingly easy. If you experience technical difficulties, in the email from Zoom you will see a US toll free number to call for support at the bottom of your screen. Your internet signal needs to be strong enough to support a webinar. If you have difficulty with your home/work internet you may want to rethink a webinar. Please make sure your volume is up and check other things to watch a video.
Taking this seminar via webinar is an amazing opportunity to take this great program out of the area. Please call for further information if you have any questions or hesitations.
